What you can expect day-to-day:

The Front End Developer is responsible for delivering HTML5 projects, based mainly on HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and JS / JQuery. Your role will be predominantly hands-on development as well as handling tasks across the entire development life cycle, including gathering requirements, writing technical specifications, liaising with internal Project Managers and writing systems documentation.

Essential duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Partner with Producer/PM team on evaluating and detailing scopes of work from a technical perspective to ensure the accurate estimation of costs for digital tactics
  • Deliver high quality front-end HTML build for web sites and iPad solutions predominantly using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and JS / JQuery
  • Work with internal Project Managers and the Technical Director to provide timely Project updates and facilitate effective internal communication
  • Participate in regular stand ups, project meetings and status updates
  • Work with QA Engineers and the Technical Director to ensure a quality project delivery through effective testing
  • Actively embrace new and emerging technologies
  • Work to pre-agreed timelines and time allocations to deliver quality work on time and to brief
  • Experience using at least 1 JS framework (for example ReactJS)
  • Work with the Technical Director and other developers to produce accurate and realistic task and project estimates
  • Participate in, regular stand ups, project meetings and status updates
  • Work with QA Engineers and the Technical Director to ensure a quality project delivery through effective testing
  • Actively embrace new and emerging technologies, working with the Technical Director to identify commercial opportunities

Qualifications:

Minimum required:

  • 3+ years experience in HTML, HTML5, JQuery, CSS3, JavaScript and other standard front-end technologies
  • 2+ years full life-cycle development experience, from requirements and specification through to delivery, documentation and hand over
  • May require travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays

Preferred: 

  • Intermediate/Advanced HTML/CSS/JS coding
  • Agile methodology
  • Google Analytics
  • SEO principles
  • Comfortable with Git/Azure workflows and continuous integration
  • Familiar with Node.js, React
  • Solid communication skills
  • CRM system management including WordPress and Drupal
  • Ability to participate and contribute to client meetings and presentations
  • Ability to establish strong working/collaborative relationships across departments
