What you can expect day-to-day:
Expect to combine your advanced editorial skills with your demonstrated understanding of effective written and verbal communication. You'll own the editing process for all developed content - print and digital. Not to mention mentoring of individuals with diverse talents and backgrounds.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Provide supervisory oversight and direction to the medical editing staff. Coach, mentor and develop staff including new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
- Model and cultivate work habits that enhance efficiencies, such as consistent file naming and document storage.
- Liaise with Project Management to identify editorial resources for accounts and projects.
- Keep current on regulations governing promotional advertising in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Apply knowledge of appropriate regulations to healthcare advertising documents and the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) that enhance quality.
- Edit medical documents for style, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience supervising a team of editors in the healthcare industry
- Available for travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays
